I find most discussions about black female sexuality strange. On the one hand, there seems to be little discussion of male sexuality. On the other hand, so much of what passes for black women owning their sexuality is a repackaging of the same tired, racist stereotypes. Black women have to expend a lot of energy fighting off sexualities that are imposed upon us. One of the results of my being sexually abused and objectified as a child was being inappropriately sexualized at a young age. Normally, sexuality in young children is a limited to a natural curiosity about their bodies. However, I remember wanting to be sexually attractive at age six — even though I had no idea what that really meant.

I would never change my decision to marry him. Please think carefully before marrying with someone works in medical industry. Make them feel special. If you don't want to give up, then don't. I dated a doctor who was into me and saw me frequently. He is not willing to cut back on hours or ever get off of his career track. I am so in love with him and he says he is too minus the stupid cheating. Life is a journey and going through it with a true partner, and a mutual respect for curiosity, is so far greatly rewarding. At the end of the second date I knew I needed him in my life. When I talk to him about this he seems to agree that he doesn't like the person he's becoming and doesn't look forward to a career in medicine, but says he can't leave medicine.
